My life is insane! Ask anyone who comes into contact with me on a daily basis. I’m always on my way to or from something. Sleep isn’t much of an option and homework is for class before. This is something God has hit me with recently. Yeah, I get my quiet time in and yeah I look like the “Christian ” example. I’m not saying it’s all fake but it could be so much more! I really am starting to pray for a fire. Not a flame on a match but a big blazing bonfire for Christ and His Word. Warning! I’m about to go off topic a little bit but hang with me. When we went to Canada this sweet little girl got up at share time around the last morning. Her words were so sweet with tears flowing down her precious little face she said,” I didn’t know people could be so nice. After this week I just really, really want to read the Bible. I just have such a thirst for the Word…..” She kept on going about how she had never known people in her community are not nice like the Long Hollow kids were but the thing is we weren’t that nice. We actually would get mad and frustrated but we were the nicest people she had ever come into contact with. Those kids live in nothing. They are going basically no where. They probably aren’t going anywhere. Running that camp in July was the highlight of their year. God was so relevant in that precious little Canadian girl who was like 9. Then there’s me, I have so much more luxuries than them and this life is all I can do to glorify the Lord? The Lord deserves me. All of me, not just the 15 minutes out of my day and the sunday wednesday church life. He deserves my all! I pray that I can get to the point where I’m like little Haley I truly do want a thirst a hunger for the Word of God.
